About Us

Who we are

Hidden behind our big blue door, our unassuming exterior makes way to a French inspired café by day and cocktail bar by night. We share our space with D’Urberville Living, meaning a trip to see us intertwines with a spot of European vintage furniture and contemporary arts and interiors.

We are a cosy nook of Dorset serving award winning coffee, homemade bakes, high vibes lunch and speciality cocktails. A place to meet friends for those lovely long lunches, a takeaway treat with a difference or an event space to host special celebrations. Our hospitality has even gone so far as to earn us the title of Best UK Café, as crowned by the esteemed Muddy Stilettos.

We’re dog friendly too, please feel free to help yourself to a treat or two for your four legged friend from our biscuit jar, or just ask for a water bowl.

Our building dates back to the 17th century. Once owned by Sherborne Abbey, we’re not too sure of it origins, we think perhaps our café was a meeting or reading room. With high ceilings, an original fireplace and beautiful stained glass, it makes for rather special surroundings to enjoy a coffee and piece of cake.
